2018 Ford Explorer: Should It Watch Out For Bronco?

By  |

The 2018 Ford Explorer has made a name for itself for being easy to handle, versatile and more but with Ford Bronco arriving soon, should the Explorer be worried?

The 2018 Ford Explorer will come running on a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 290hp and 255lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and it will return about 17mpg in the city and 24mpg on the highway.

Safety features like the backup camera, stability control, a dual stage driver and passenger front airbags, traction control, DRL and more will be offered as standard features.

We are still waiting for Ford to release the Ford Bronco and while a lot of details are still missing, we do know that the vehicle will be based on the new Ford Ranger. It is believed that it will also share the same engine as the Ranger. If that is true, we should see the 2.3 liters turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood. We will have to wait and see if the 10-speed auto transmission makes it over as well.

More details will be released as we get closer to the release date but for now, do you think the Bronco will outshine the Explorer?
