Xbox 720 & PS4 Price Tag May Be A Very Affordable $350

The Sony PS4 and Xbox 720 are expected to make their official debut at E3 later this year, if not at their own exclusive events around the same time.

Sony PS4 & Xbox 720 price tag hinted to be below $400

While we have seen numerous leaks to do with the specs of both upcoming gaming consoles, what has managed to remain under the radar are their price tags. Now in a research note to investors on Monday, Colin Sebastian of Baird Equity Research hinted that we could see both the Xbox 720 and Sony PS4 price tags sit inside of the $350 and $400 price range.

In comparison, when the Xbox 360 launched back in 2005, it was at $399. The PS3 followed shortly after and ranged from $499 and $599 respectively. So if this holds true, the next-generation consoles would come in as more affordable to gamers. This should help speed up adoption too.

Unfortunately for some fans though, if rumors of used games not working with the next-gen consoles prove true (games will apparently be NFC tagged to only work with the one console), then we could see another snag.
