WhatsApp Now Supports Document Sharing – APK, PDF, ZIP, You Name It And They Could Send It

By  |

If you’ve been waiting eagerly for the document sharing feature for quite some time, you’re in for some good news because WhatsApp officially rolled it out yesterday. You’ll be able to get the drill on how this works if you’ve got the latest STABLE or the latest BETA version of WhatsApp installed to your phone, though it may vary accordingly.

That being said, the WhatsApp team is probably working on it and rolling it out in phases. It’s only a matter of time before they actually ensure all devices with the latest updates would get the feature. If you’ve got it and want to send a document on the app, all you need todo is to tap on the attachment icon on any chat and select the new blue Document icon. Then voila, off you go sending your desired documents.

Though at the moment only the PDF files are being supported, but we believe other Document files would be up and ready in no time. Also here’s a heads-up: once the file has been downloaded to your device, you’ll find it inside the WhatsApp folder on the internal storage, right under Media/WhatsApp Documents. Alternatively, you could always turn on the automatic download button for hassle-free downloads.

All that sounds interesting and it really does seem like we’ve taken mobile sharing to a whole new level. We can’t wait what’s going to be next in store for us, and we hope you feel the same way too.
