We Happy Few Ban Lifted In Australia?

By  |

Technically, the game was never officially banned in Australia but the game, We Happy Few was refused classification in Australia which means it could not be released to the public but it looks like Australia’s Classification Review Board might finally be letting the game through after all.

The board has just announced that the game will be classified as an R18+ game in Australia which is also the highest rating level in Australia. Retailers could ask consumers to prove their age before allowing them to purchase the game.

The reason why the game is having so much issue is mainly because of the drug use in the game. The original decision to refuse the game classification believed to be because of that as well. In parts of the game, the difficulty can be reduced by taking drugs.

Compulsion Games has already responded to the good news saying that they are “extremely pleased” with the decision.
