Waze-Android Auto: Google Will Be Watching

By  |

Google has announced that Waze will finally be coming to Android Auto but if yo plan to use it, there is a big catch that you might want to know about first.

As convenient as Waze is, it looks like the users will be paying for the convenience with their privacy when Google finally release the update. According to the University of Michigans Ross School of Business, Google will be monitoring the users so that they can feed them related ads.

It was reported that with the Waze app, Google will be able to collect data about the driver’s driving habit and all the other date from te vehicle in real time. They will then process the date and inject related ads to their users.

The ads will be offered based on the needs and habits of their users. While it is a great way for Google to create a huge revenue for themselves, we as users will not appreciate it. We are already being bombarded with ads everywhere we go and just when we though the infotainment system is safe, Google comes in and ruin it all.

Of course, this has not been confirmed yet so we will have to wait and see.
