In the past, if you want to have your vehicle’s infotainment system to be run by Android, you will need to get it from third party companies but that has changed now with offering their Volvo XC40 with the Android system straight from the factory.
The EV model will be making its debut in a few day’s time and it will come with an infotainment system that will be fully integrated to the Android Automotive operating system. It was added that buyers will get to enjoy the same experience as the Android smart devices.
The system will have over-the-air updates so they can constantly update and add new features in the future. Google Assistant will also be a part of the system and users will be able to use their voice to access certain functions of the vehicle.
On top of that, the XC40 will also get the On-Call connected service by Volvo which they can use to remotely pre-heat the vehicle, find it, lock it and more.
