Volvo Ropes In Nvidia To Help With AI

It is definitely all about the tech now as it was just revealed that Volvo will be working with Nvidia to come out with an AI-based computer for their next-gen models.

According to the reports, the core computer will be based on the Drive AGX Xavier tech from Nvidia which will be paired with the new Scalable Product Architecture 2. According to Volvo, to launch a successful autonomous drive would mean that they need a lot of computing power. Working with Nvidia would bring them one step closer to going fully autonomous.

The new SPA2 vehicle architecture from Volvo is a step above the SPA modular vehicle architecture. What Volvo did was upgrade the SPA 2 so that it keeps everything that is useful and at the same time get all the next-gen technologies that Volvo has to offer right now.

It will be interesting to see where Volvo and Nvidia go with all these and how it will change the auto industry.
