Worthersee is where you want to be if you are a huge Volkswagen fan. We usually get to see some outrageous cars like the Volkswagen Type 2 which is a Porsche powered model and more but this year, all eyes will be on the Volkswagen Golf GTi TCR Prototype.

The Volkswagen Golf GTi TCR Prototype will be coming in as a near-production prototype that will eventually make its way into production later this year. The vehicle will be powered by a turbocharged inline-four engine that will be offering about 286hp and 273lb ft of torque.

The vehicle will come with a front wheel drive system and will be mated to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. With what it has to offer now, the vehicle will have a top speed of 155mph although, with a limiter removed, buyers might be able to push it to 164mph.

Do you think this model will make it to the US?
