Volkswagen Nivus Crossover Coupe Won’t Stay Only In South America

A new teaser video for the Volkswagen Nivus has been released giving us a first taste of what the vehicle could be offering.

Called an Urban Coupe, the new Volkswagen Nivus was seen with a large lower air intake that will be flanked by a set of triangular fog lights. In the back is the sweptback headlights that will be fitted with LED daytime running lights.

The teaser video also showed off the tailgate-mounted spoiler with wraparound taillights with a more pronounced shoulder line. According to Volkswagen, the vehicle will be developed in Brazil but they have now added that they will also be building it in Europe for the Europe market.

The South American version will be powered by a 1.0-liter TSI engine that will be offering about 126hp and will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There will also be a six-speed manual transmission that will be offering 114hp.
