By  |

There aren’t many details about the Volkswagen Jetta GLi model right now but at least we know that we will only need to wait a few more months before we actually see the vehicle. That is if the rumors are true.

According to Autoblog.com.ar, the new Volkswagen Vento GLi could be making its debut at the Detroit Show. Of course, the Vento is known at the Jetta here in the US. Volkswagen also added that the sports version will be designed according to the NA market’s taste and needs.

On the outside, we can expect to see it come with five-spoke alloy wheels and black roof. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that will be offering about 220hp and 258lb ft of torque. With that, the vehicle would be able to compete with models like the Hyundai Elantra Sport, Subaru WRX and Honda Civic Si.
