Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak Not Off The Table Yet

By  |

Volkswagen was at the New York Auto Show this year where they showed off their Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak. Of course, the vehicle was just a concept then but some reports are saying that we might actually see it on the road.

The Atlas Tanoak comes fitted on an MQB platform. The design is often described as being muscular yet soft. It was also fitted with off-road tires, plastic cladding, LED lighting and more. On the inside, the was fitted with soft-touch plastic, leather trim and ambient lighting. It was also fitted with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system despite being just a concept.

Thanks to the 3.6-liter V6 engine under the hood, the vehicle was capable of going from 0-60mph in 8.5seconds. The engine offers about 276hp and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

While Volkswagen thinks that the concept fits the brand well, they still have not decided on it yet.
