Verizon Version of Samsung Galaxy S6 Gets Marshmallow That Defies Odds

If you are with Verizon and you own the Samsung Galaxy S6 you are going to be treated to the update to Marshmallow 6.0.1. The update offers a security patch for the handset along with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge knew that they were getting the update back in December but there had been delays with the update.

One of the first carriers in the US to offer owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow was Verizon. Then they handed the update to owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 along with the S6 Edge.

This means that owners of the handsets can now use Google Now on Tap along with Doze and they are able to turn off the permissions.

If you haven’t got the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow yet for your Samsung Galaxy S6 you might want to head to settings and check to see if you can make the update.
