Sprint & Verizon Turn Samsung Galaxy Nexus Into A Black Sheep

We all love the Nexus range, but there are three Nexus models that Google most likely wish they could forget about – the Sprint Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus S 4G and the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

No Verizon & Sprint Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Nexus or Nexus S 4G yet

Their carriers have all claimed that this trio delivers the “pure Google experience”, but none of these smartphones have got Jelly Bean yet. Thankfully the GSM versions of these phones all over the world over have all got Jelly Bean and are rocking Android 4.1 already.

Verizon and Sprint have both yet to announce a release date for the JellyBean update, and we’ve already seen the leak revealing the update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is very near. The S3 of course isn’t even a pure Google device which makes it all seem very silly indeed that these particular Nexus models are still on ICS.

There’s one big lesson to be learned from this – you should avoid buying a Google Nexus device from either Verizon or Sprint and opt for an unlocked version if you want to get updates within a reasonable timeframe.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
