Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR HD: Don’t Believe The Hype

By  |

While there has been plenty of coverage about what we can expect from the Motorola Droid Razr HD not much has been said about what not to expect. The folks over at GottaBeMobile had blacklisted some of the rumors for us already:

Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR HD: what’s just hype

Verizon along with Motorola have set a date for an event, 5th September, and while they have not said what the event is for everyone is saying that it will be to announce the Droid Razr HD and the Razr M. The tag line for the planned event just says On Display and this could point the finger at the HD display of 720p on the Razr HD.

You cannot count on any surprises at the launch of the handsets. This is one thing that we know for sure as Motorola are well known to get straight to the point. Many of the features on the device have been seen by testers and these are thought to be on-board when the device is released. So therefore you should not count on there being a 1080p display or a quad core to pop up. Its dual core and the display won’t try and match the rumored Verizon HTC 1080p Android that is also around the corner.

The FCC filing reported recently that the Motorola DROID Razr HD would come with a battery of 2,530mAh and it is thought that as this has gone through the FCC the battery will not change and therefore users should not count on getting the 21 hours of talking on the handset that the battery of the Razr Maxx provides users with. So there is no 3,300mAh battery.

Those considering the handset shouldn’t expect anything out of the ordinary when it comes to the camera. It should have an 8 megapixel camera which will be adequate so don’t expect to see that rumored 13-megapixel camera on the back of the handset.
