US Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery Life Test Results (T-Mobile/Verizon/Sprint/AT&T)

By  |

T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint all have their own versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but are their batteries any good?

A lot of people have gone out and purchased the Samsung Galaxy S4 since it was released, while some others decided to go with the HTC One handset instead. There are people who haven’t made thei mind up as to which of the two devices they want to go for and then there are people who have decided to wait around to see what else might be coming out onto the market.

One thing that you will need to take into consideration is how good the battery of the device is, so that is why we are going to look at the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The tests were taken out on the Snapdragon 600 version of the handset rather than the Exynos 5 octa core device, so this is something you need to bear in mind. The results might have been better if the tests were done on the Exynos 5 octa core device seeing as it has the big.LITTLE technology. At this moment in time though the test is done with the same version as that on T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint and that is the quad core version.

The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 devices both did great in the benchmark tests and according to GforGames the HTC One is better when it comes to web browsing while the Samsung Galaxy S4 wins as far as talk time and video playing is concerned.

There’s not much to decide from the two. GSMArena rated the devices with a 63 for endurance which means that in theory you should be able to browse the web, watch videos and make phone calls for an hour every day for 63 days.

Don’t forget that in reality the results of the Samsung Galaxy S4 test might not be completely correct because we all use our handsets in different ways. It does give you a bit of an indication as to what the Samsung Galaxy S4, which doesn’t have the big.LITTLE chip technology, might be able to do for us.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
