Toyota Prius Might Not Be Around For Much Longer Thanks TO EV

By  |

The days of the Toyota Prius may be outnumbered as it isn’t able to compete with the electric vehicles that are on the market today that offer up a range of more than 300 miles.

Toyota have announced that they have set up an in-house company so that staff can concentrate on coming up with an electric vehicle. Up to now they have been ahead in fuel cell technology but it is time that they came up with an electric vehicle to take on the competition on the market. They have said that they will have an all-electric vehicle on the market by 2020.

Toyota has taken staff from four of their companies and they are able to work independently on the research and the design of the new EV.

Of course Toyota isn’t going to give up on fuel cell technology and of course they are behind the Mirai and this is known to be the ultimate eco-car. When Toyota does come out with an electric vehicle there isn’t going to be room for the Toyota Prius so we may be saying goodbye to it.
