Toyota Owners Won’t Be Stuck With Apple Anymore

By  |

With most vehicles now coming with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay options, it was odd that Toyota would decide to only offer their customer the Apple CarPlay version. Well, the Android users won’t be feeling left out for long.

According to Bloomberg, Toyota will be fitting their vehicles with the Android Auto as well and that we will be hearing an announcement from them in October. While Toyota did acknowledge the demand for Android Auto, they did not comment on whether the rumors are true or not.

Of course, Android users can still connect their device to the SmartDeviceLink right now but it is not exactly the same as the appearance and data access are limited. Of course, not having this features would probably not be a deal breaker for most people but it does make Toyota look outdated with their rivals all offering both support on their models.
