We are already in February of 2016 and the Mobile World Congress is just around the corner. This means that new handsets should be coming our way, possibly from Samsung, Sony and LG. But which handsets are going to come out ahead this year?

The Samsung Galaxy S6 range including the S6 Edge and S6 Edge + are all going to do well and we are expecting the Samsung Galaxy S7 to take over from them at some point this year. The handsets already have some of the best specs of devices on the market and things can only improve as Samsung moves ahead this year.

The Google Nexus 6P has been one of the best in the Nexus range so far thanks to the device offering a camera that is superb and the handset having a build quality that is excellent. This has to be a strong contender and it does make you wonder what the next version is going to be like.

The Galaxy Note is another contender for best phone as it packs in some superb Android hardware on a handset. The S Pen is a great addition to the device but some people said that perhaps it wasn’t as good as the Samsung Galaxy S6 line up.

The LG G4 was all about improvements for the phone maker and they gave us a display that was improved while the LG G4 had great looks with the leather back panel. It also gave us storage that could be expanded along with a battery that was removable.

The Motorola Moto X Pure is a great handset, albeit a bit on the big side thanks to the 5.7 inch display. However the Quad HD display is superb as is the camera on the handsets. This is definitely worth a place among the top 5 Android phones of 2016.
