T-Mobile iPhone 5 No Later Than June But It’ll Cost You Big

T-Mobile is to get the Apple iPhone 5 by June of this year says the CEO. They will also drop their subsidies at the same time.

T-Mobile iPhone 5 available in next 3-4 months, no subsidies

Back in December of 2012 T-Mobile said that they would get the Apple iPhone after many years of being the only major carrier in the US not to have it. The company didn’t give out too many details about the product, however they did say that the iPhone was a cert. T-Mobile may follow in the footsteps of AT&T, Sprint and Verizon and start offering the Apple iPad too.

The CEO hasn’t said anything about the Apple iPad, just the fact that they would be offering the Apple iPhone 5 and drop subsidies.

This is set to happen in 3 to 4 months rather than the 6 to 9 that had been earlier suggested. T-Mobile does cater for iPhone users and they currently support around 1.9 million subscribers at the moment, with 100,000 activations each month.

The CEO said that they would not be offering discounted devices and this would help the monthly bills of customers being lower. He went on to say that they hoped subscriptions would rise by around 5%, as customers would come to them so as not to be locked into contracts of two years in exchange for subsidies, which the other carriers offer.

This means that if you want to get hold of the Apple iPhone 5 with T-Mobile you would have to pay around $650 for it, unlike with other carriers offering subsidies and the device for around $199 on contract.
