Three have made a surprise announcement to people in the UK. They have said that when they launch their 4G LTE service they will offer customers unlimited data for no extra cost to the unlimited data packages they now offer. This is superb news for anyone who has been put off 4G by the current LTE plans of EE due to the cost.

Three will launch their 4G LTE later this year when it will be added to the Ultrafast network. This will be a boost for customers who have already go their hands on a device that is 4G ready and the fact that they are to offer the latest tech without premiums will win customers over. This doesn’t just apply to existing price plans but also new ones.

Three UK hope to have around 80% of the population covered with their network, which is Ultrafast and relies on the DC-HSDPA tech. They plan to spread out coverage towards the end of 2013. Ultrafast ready handsets can use the network without having to pay out a premium or change plans, when LTE rolls out it will become available to customers as standard on price plans.

Some of the devices that can be used on the Three network include the Apple iPhone 5, the Apple iPad Mini, the Apple iPad with Retina display, the Nokia Lumia 920 and Sony Xperia Z. when they add in the 1800Mhz spectrum later this year, the devices will also use this too. Three UK will also be launching Ultrafast LTE variations of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 next month and by the middle of February they will have the Blackberry Z10.

Are you with Three or will you be moving to them to make use of their LTE unlimited plans for no extra cost?
