After the last few released by Tesla, most people have assume that Tesla will once again be late with the release of their Tesla Model Y but the automaker surprise us all by announcing that they will actually be a little early this time around.
When the first announce the vehicle, they said that the production for the Model Y will only be starting in the fall of 2020 but now, they have pushed the date forward to the summer. Tesla explained that they are moving faster than planned.
The new Tesla Model Y will be manufactured at their Fremont factory in California but they are also working on a new Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. On top of that, they are also looking for a location in Europe to build another Gigafactory that will be used to build Model 3 and Model Y.
