Tesla Model 3 Might Not End Up Looking Like Production

By  |

We got a glimpse of the preview version of the Tesla Model 3 but when the production version arrives it may not end up looking like it at all. Elon Musk said it had been going through design tweaks and that the vehicle would be ready by the end of June.

It is thought that the Tesla Model 3 is heading our way with production spec drivetrains and that the design should now be almost ready.

The design of the Tesla Model 3 means that high volume production will be more efficient. The vetting process is going to be stricter and there is an increase in the vertical integration when it comes to the production process. The parts are going to be produced for the vehicle in-house.

Tesla did say that production of the Tesla Model 3 is going to be boosted so that the company can produce 500,000 vehicles per year by 2018. By 2020 they are hoping to be able to produce about one million cars.
