17-year-old Ben Treinen from Ohio managed to wow judges with his winning entry for Fiat Chrysler’s “Drive For Design” contest, competing against other 10th- to 12th-grade kids. And he sure is proud.

Not only was he crowned the first place in the company’s car design contest, he also managed to take home some cool prizes, which includes the new MacBook Pro and a three-week automotive design course at the Detroit College for Creative Studies. Ben’s work would also be featured on every media outlets that covered the design contest.

It’s a great move for FCA to initiate creativity running through contests for the kids and awarding them after that, as it would further enhance their passion and possibly have them be part of the team in the future. The winner’s masterpiece was inspired by design cues from the current generation of the Hellcat Charger, which includes the front-facing hood scoop, the rear-facing hood vents, the crosshair grille as well as the thin LED headlight design.

We think the design looks just neat and awesome for a 2025-ish kind of car. Don’t you think so too?
