T-Mobile: We’ll “Give” You iPhone 5 But Not Really

If you have been waiting for T-Mobile to get the Apple iPhone 5 on contract then you could have to wait forever.

T-Mobile has always said that they would like to offer the handset but they will not give in the demands of Apple. Sprint has done this and so have other carriers.

The Apple iPhone 5 is one of the best-selling devices in the US and you can get it with all the major carriers apart from T-Mobile. Many people have said that even when Apple releases the Apple iPhone 6, T-Mobile may be the only ones to not offer the handset. That is unless they are able to get it without the subsidies that Apple wants. However this didn’t happen with Sprint and some question whether it will happen with T-Mobile. Sprint caved in to Apple and now they have to wait until 2015 before they will see profits.

T-Mobile rely heavily on the Samsung Galaxy S3 along with the LG Nexus 4, however some people wonder why T-Mobile haven’t given in to Apple before now as they have decent coverage and their prices are reasonable. Of course you also have to consider if the Apple iPhone 5 is actually wanted at T-Mobile. Owners of the Apple iPhone can take their unlocked handset over to the carrier on one of their pre-paid plans.

Well there is some good news this month. T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone 5. The CEO has confirmed that the iPhone will be coming to the nextwork in the next 3 to 4 months. However they aren’t exactly giving in to the demands of Apple. The T-Mobile iPhone 5 will arrive at around the same time the carrier stops with phone subsidies. What this means is that you can get the T-Mobile iPhone 5 from the carrier but it won’t be like it’s being “given away” as with other carriers who offer it at $200 on contract. With T-Mobile, expect to pay the full $650 base price tag.
