T-Mobile iPhone 5: Some Positives & Negatives

By  |

Anyone who’s been waiting for the T-Mobile iPhone 5 doesn’t have much longer to go, but, it’ll cost them, as T-Mobile is stopping its generous contract subsidies at the same time as the iPhone 5 comes to it.

T-Mobile has always resisted the subsidy demands of Apple, which is why it’s the last major carrier to get the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 has been hugely popular in the US, and T-Mobile is the only network that doesn’t carry it – some have said that it still won’t have the iPhone even when the sixth version is out. So, T-Mobile has finally got the device, but it hasn’t caved in to Apple, as customers will be paying full whack for it. Sprint gave in and will have to wait until 2015 to turn a profit!

The company has relied on the Samsung Galaxy S3 for a while now, and this handset has done very nicely for it, so why did T-Mobile decide to take on the iPhone at all? After all, anyone with an unlocked handset can migrate to T-Mobile on a pre-paid anyway….

So while there is good news that the device is coming, the bad news is that you will have to pay more out for it.

So, a mixed result – you can bag the iPhone 5, but only if you have loads of dosh.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
