Subaru WRX Might Find Themselves In The Back

By  |

If Subaru is not careful enough, they might find themselves trailing behind the Ford Focus RS model when the model arrives later this year.

The standard Subaru WRX model comes in with a 2.0-liter engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Subaru WRX will be able to deliver about 268hp. Of course, some might argue that there is the WRX STi to look out for.

The Subaru WRX STi comes in with a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine that will be pushing out about 305hp. It might be more powerful than the standard model but it is still far from what Ford plans to offer when the Ford Focus RS arrives.

The Ford Focus RS will be coming in with a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that will have an output of 345hp. The engine will allow the Focus RS to go from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 165mph. Let’s not forget about the Drift Mode that is supposed to make the Focus RS a lot more fun to drive in. Do you think the WRX STi will have a hard time battling the Focus RS or will it still remain on the top?
