Sprint Buys Clearwire, 4G LTE Coverage Expands Faster

Sprint has gone ahead and comfirmed that it has reached an agreement to buy the rest of Clearwire, making it a full 100 percent owned by the network.

In a $2.2 billion deal, Sprint will officially own its rival. With the deal, Sprint’s overall spectrum portfolio will get bigger, in addition to engulfing 11 million Clearwire users.

According to Sprint, the purchase of the rest of Clearwire and its portfolio will mean that the expansion of its 4G LTE coverage map will happen even smoother and faster.

At this time there are a number of 4G LTE devices on Sprint including the Samsung Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. With LTE the future of data connectivity, Sprint has stopped releasing WiMAX devices.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
