See How The 2017 Honda Ridgeline, Colorado, Tacoma And Frontier Stack Up Against One Another

By  |

It’s kind of a good news for Honda upon their releasing of the 2017 model of the Ridgeline (bad news because it looks boring), but people have been comparing it with other potential rivals such as the Chevrolet Colorado, Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. So how would you think they are to fare against one another when we put them all into a comparison test?

Chevrolet Colorado has the most horsepower, while the Nissan Frontier the most torque, so the Honda Ridgeline has nothing to brag about in these departments. And moving on to towing payload, the Chevrolet Colorado once again beats out the Honda Ridgeline and the remainder mid-size trucks thanks to its 7,000lbs.

But while the Honda Ridgeline won’t have the heaviest payload its design will support for the widest payload loading in the truck bed. So there’s one point for the Ridgeline and putting it ahead of the Toyota Tacoma which is yet to get any points.

In terms of safety the Toyota Tacoma has blind spot monitoring but the Honda Ridgeline bests it and the other trucks with that plus a few other top-end safety features like lane departure warning. So overall the 2017 Honda Ridgeline isn’t crushing the competition but has its merits. But did we mention that it still looks a little too bland for our liking?
