Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Replaces Fingerprint Scanner

As useful as fingerprint scanner was, it was clear that the tech will be replaced sooner or later since Samsung and Apple have been working with Iris and Face recognition tech.

While Samsun has not released any new information on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, new reports are suggesting that the device will be getting an Iris scanner and facial recognition tech that will replace the fingerprint scanner.

According to SamMobile, Samsung will be using both because the Iris scanner doesn’t work well in direct sunlight while the Intelligent Scan which is the name for Samsung’s facial recognition tech doesn’t work well in the dark. Having this two will ensure that the device has something in any light conditions.

The leaked firmware also revealed that the device will be coming in with the Android 8.1 Oreo. No release date has been announced for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 but it should be arriving this summer.
