Apple shocked us all with the release of their top of the range Apple iPhone X last year. Unlike the last few iPhones, the iPhone X actually had a lot of new features to offer and it quickly became the one to beat.

The Apple iPhone X comes in with a 5.8inch display screen with 1125 x 2436 resolution. The device will run on the A11 Bionic chipset with 3GB RAM and 64/256GB of internal storage. The Apple iPhone X was fitted with a 12MP dual camera int he back while in the front sits a 7MP camera. The device will be powered by a 2716mAh battery pack.

All eyes were on Samsung and their Samsung Galaxy S9 + this year as people were curious to see if Samsung has what it takes to take on Apple. Well, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ was fitted with a 6.2-inch display screen with 1440 x 2960 resolution. The device will run on the Exynos 9810 Octa-core processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the back sits a 12mp dual camera while in the front, we will get an 8MP camera. The Samsung Galaxy S9+ will also be powered by 3500 mAh battery. On paper, the Galaxy S9+ does seem to match what Apple has to offer but is it enough?

Another device that smartphones fans are looking forward to this year is the Google Pixel 3. There is not a whole lot of details right now but according to Evan Blass, we could be seeing it later this year around September or October.
