Samsung Galaxy S9: Apple Has Nothing To Fear

By  |

We are still months away from seeing the next Samsung Galaxy S9 and at this point, nobody really knows what to expect from Samsung next year but with the leaked benchmark scores from Geekbench, it is starting to look like the Galaxy S9 will not be the iPhone X competitor that we were hoping to see.

The device that appeared on Geekbench was given the model number SM-G960F which many believe is the Samsung Galaxy S9. Based on what we can see from the benchmark scores, it looks like the device will be running on the octa-core Exynos processor with 4GB RAM and it will be running on the Android 8.0 OS from the box. The device managed to score 2680 for its single core and 7787 for its multi-core.

While the scoring is not bad, it is still far from what the iPhone X got on Geekbench. The Apple iPhone X got a single core score of 4197 and multi-core score of 10051.

Of course, even if this is really the Galaxy S9 if could be a pre-production version which means the actual device might have a better score but we will not know until the device arrives.
