When Samsung first released the new Samsung Galaxy S8, the device came with a tonne of colour options for their navigation bar but the latest update will reduce the number of options to only six because Samsung wants to protect their display.
According to SamMobile, the latest update will limit the option to six. The darker shades are gone now and the ones left are all light shades. It is believed that Samsung made that change to prevent the brighter colours from burning out their display.
We know that AMOLED screens will degrade over time especially when they are used to display static objects or colours for a long time. However, others think that Samsung did it so that everything is visually uniform since they also took away the Black colour option.
The update also brings forward a few more features including the option to lock or hide the navigation bar.
