Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 7: Battle Of Mythical Proportions

By  |

As we move into 2016, we’re also getting nearer to the release of the two most anticipated phones of the year. There’s no denying the fact that they would both be faring well in the markets, given the fact that they’ve been some of the most talked-about topics of recent months. Let’s get on to comparing the best-indicated rumours of these two phones now, shall we?

Major Specs

Rumoured Galaxy S7

Display: 5.1-inch and 5.7-inch, max res of 2560×1440 pixels
Design: Expect a design change, but not as radical as from the S5 to S6
Storage: 32, 64, and 128GB
CPU and RAM: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM
Front Camera: 5MP
Rear Camera: 12.2MP, 4K video recording

Rumoured iPhone 7

Display: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Force Touch, but likely with a QHD display of 2560 x 1440 resolution
Design: Completely new design. Thinner body and bezel.
Storage: 32, 64, 128, and 256GB
CPU and RAM: A10 processor, 3GB RAM
Front Camera: 5MP with wide angle lens
Rear Camera: 12MP, 4K video recording, optical image stabilisation

Since the rumoured thinning body for the iPhone 7 is spreading like wildfire, it’s most likely to be proven true. And you should probably expect thinner bezels with a possibility for an edge-to-edge screen. As for the Samsung Galaxy S7, it all depends on whether or not you liked the current S6 and S6 Edge, since the smartphone maker doesn’t have much plans to enhance the design of the phone. But there’s also the fact that there will be enhancements made to picture quality and performance, and there’s that.

Since the iPhone 6S actually received a major camera upgrade from its brethren the iPhone 6, you shouldn’t be expecting too much for the upcoming flagship. As for Galaxy S7, you should also be expecting similar camera specs, and it’s worth mentioning that both would record 4K video.

There, some of the heavily-rumoured rumours of the upcoming flagships of Samsung and Apple. Which are you looking forward to the most?
