The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a superb device. Everything about it is superb, from the display that stuns, to the battery life and support for VR. The device is very popular but then it is around one year old and we should get to see the Galaxy S8 in a couple of months.

The LG G6 has come onto the scene and it is a strong contender. It came back from last year and the misfire of the G5 with its modular idea. The G6 comes with everything that is top of the line and this happens to be the best efforts from the company in some time.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has flagship written all over it, it comes with waterproofing, but thanks to it having the removable bottom it does seem to be less durable. The LG G6 is designed in glass and metal and this is a premium device. It comes with IP68 water and dust proofing.

The display is 5.7 inches and takes up around 85% of the face of the handset, so there is very little by way of bezel on it. The curved edges of the display are a nice touch and both devices are winners. The display is IPS on the LG G6 and it is HDR for Dolby Vision and HDR10.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has the Quad HD Super AMOLED display and this is the 5.5 screen that is curved and which comes with superb deep blacks and great bright colours.

There isn’t much difference in power between the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the LG G6. The S7 has the Exynos 8890 processor and 4GB RAM. The LG G6 comes with the Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB RAM.

The camera on the LG G6 isn’t too far behind and it comes with dual cameras on the back and multiple field of vision options.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 does offer up an impressive range of features and it comes with a battery of 3,000mAh on the standard version and 3,600mAh on the S7 Edge. The LG G6 comes with a battery of 3,300mAh but it does have a bigger display than the S7 Edge.
