Samsung Galaxy S6 vs iPhone 6S: Why S6 Is Still Hot

By  |

This was perhaps the biggest smartphone fight in 2015. The iPhone 6S was just released 3 months ago, and it’s not surprising that people had began comparing it with the Samsung Galaxy S6, which was also released in the same year. And the fact that they are equally gorgeous just makes it difficult to compare, but then again, let’s get on to that to see why S6 still proves to be the clear winner.

Before we even get to the comparisons (and bearing in mind that the S6 gets the top spot), we should come into an agreement that they are still the bestselling flagships of last year, to each their own. In terms of design, we would say that it’s a draw between these two phones, though Samsung overshadows Apple in the slightest bit. The Galaxy S6 has a more modern design (despite the fact that it ruled out the all-metal removable backplate), whereas iPhone 6S settles for a rather dated design that would make you think that it only remains quality, because nothing else would excite you.

When it comes to the display, there’s no denying the fact that S6 once again bounds ahead of the iPhone 6S. The 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 pixels (577ppi) Super AMOLED panel proves that the S6 is brighter, noticeably sharper and also, you’ll unconsciously find yourself cueing all the oohs and ahhs upon admiring it. But it’s not to say Apple doesn’t have much to boast about; the 3D Touch in the iPhone 6S is remarkably amazing and we’ll tell you why it’s a great time-saver too. Though this function makes the overall phone slightly heavier (additional 14g), you’ll find yourself admiring the usefulness of it on the camera app as it could take you straight into Selfie or Slo-Mo mode with just a pressure touch. Works great especially when you never when’s the great time for a selfie.

It has come to light that eventhough the Samsung Galaxy S6 may lose to iPhone’s remarkable 3D Touch, the former has many other features to make up for their loss in making the smartphone “smarter”. And that’s why we think that the S6 would still be hot, and will continue to be this way even in the years to come.
