Samsung Galaxy S6: Pure Android Isn’t An Option

By  |

There are many Samsung Galaxy S6 owners who don’t care what version of the operating system they have on their device. Others have to update as soon as they can.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 does have Android 5.1.1 Lollipop but the update did take a long time to arrive and owners of the LG G4 got the handset before the S6 got it. Handsets that typically get updated first are those running pure Android and the Google Play Editions used to have them but they haven’t been offered for a long time. This means that pure Android isn’t an option on the device.

It seems that the Google Play Editions with pure Android really weren’t all that popular and this is one of the reasons why they are no longer offered and haven’t been for two years.

But would you have liked to see pure Android on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and should Samsung bring the Google Play Editions back?
