Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 thought that Android 5.1 Lollipop took a long time to arrive. Other people hadn’t been happy about the fact that LG G4 came with the operating system, which brought Doze and Google Now on Tap.

Some of the Samsung devices were offered with pure Android thanks to Google Play Edition. However, now Samsung have the Good Lock app. Owners have been very frustrated about not being able to get pure Android as this usually gets faster updates.

Samsung said that not enough people wanting to get pure Android for them to make Google Play Edition devices as they wouldn’t sell many and so the profits would be small.

Google Play Editions of the handset stopped around two years back due to lack of popularity. One of the downsides to offering pure Android is a lack of support and one phone maker that found this out the hard way was Sony.
