Samsung Galaxy S6 Lacks Pure Android: Here Is Why

By  |

Many owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 simply cannot wait to update their devices to the latest version of Android, while others don’t care what OS version is on their handset.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop took a long time to arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S6, while owners of the LG G4 had it and flaunted off everything new that came with it.

Of course if you want updates fast then you have to go with the pure Android devices. Samsung used to launch the Google Play Editions, which came with the pure version of Android, but they don’t any longer. It seems that pure Android wasn’t as sought after as people would have you believe.

It was two years ago when Samsung stopped offering the Google Play Editions as people didn’t want them. While they typically get updated sooner than other handsets, there is the downside of them not getting support.

But are you happy with the Samsung Galaxy S6 or would you have preferred to be able to buy a pure Android device?
