Samsung Galaxy S6: It Doesn’t Have Pure Android, Guess Why

By  |

Some people don’t really care that much about which version of Android runs on their Samsung Galaxy S6. Others of course just cannot wait to get the latest version of Android on their device. Updates come slow to the S6 as generally only pure Android devices get updated fast and the S6 isn’t a pure Android device.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 have waited for a long time for the Lollipop update for the device and could only look on in jealousy at those with the LG G4 who had the update.

Samsung used to have pure Android devices thanks to the Google Play Editions and these got updated a lot faster. These devices are not offered now as Samsung has the Good Lock app.

The Marshmallow update took what seemed to be forever to reach owners with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and they were left disappointed. Samsung hasn’t offered the Google Play Editions for two years now.

Many people have been frustrated with lack of fast updates and Google Play Editions, but Samsung said that the devices weren’t all that popular. So this is why you can’t have pure Android from Samsung.
