Samsung Galaxy S6 Gets More Love Than Larger Brother Note 5

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is getting more love than its larger brother the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. We say this as the S6 is faster when it comes to updates. We saw this when the S6 was treated to the beta version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Weeks ago the beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow was handed out for the Samsung Galaxy S6 but it didn’t get released for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The beta version also only arrived in the UK and not the USA. It came with improvements such as Google Now on Tap and Doze.

When you first look at the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update it did seem like it would be a minor update. However it wasn’t and it did come with lots of upgrades. You can find a few of them below.

1. Additional Quick Settings toggles for Private Mode in the status bar.
2. A new set of emoji characters.
3. In fingerprint identification, vibration occurs only when it’s not recognized.
4. A new “Install Overnight” option, where an update installation can be set at night between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m.
5. A customizable Edge panel, where its transparency and size can be adjusted (it can also be updated with new ones online).

This isn’t an exhaustive list of course and if you want to find out more you can check the video out below.
