Samsung Galaxy S6 Gets Lots More Love Than Note 5

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is one handset that seems to have been given a lot more love than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

This is due to the fact that Samsung revealed the beta version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for the Samsung Galaxy S6 while they didn’t reveal it for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

People in the US didn’t get the beta test as it was only made available for those in the UK. The update brought with it lots of improvements and these included improvements to Doze to save battery life and Google Now on Tap. There were also some visual improvements.

When you first look at the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update you could be forgiven for thinking that it was a minor update. In reality it wasn’t as it brought with it many improvements. Some of these are listed below but this isn’t the full list.

1. Additional Quick Settings toggles for Private Mode in the status bar.
2. A new set of emoji characters.
3. In fingerprint identification, vibration occurs only when it’s not recognized.
4. A new “Install Overnight” option, where an update installation can be set at night between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m.
5. A customizable Edge panel, where its transparency and size can be adjusted (it can also be updated with new ones online).

Are you waiting for the arrival of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy S6?
