Samsung Galaxy S6 Doesn’t Have Pure Android And Here Is Why

By  |

There are some owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 that don’t really care what the Android version is on their device but then there are others that like to update when they are sent a message that they can. Others however have to get the latest update as soon as they can and they often go looking for it.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 waited a long time for the update to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and they could only look on as owners of the LG G4 enjoyed the update.

Samsung used to give people the option of going for the Google Play Editions, which brought with it pure Android but they don’t offer this any longer. So it does look as though pure Android really isn’t all that popular. Samsung offer up the Good Lock app now and this is something that has frustrated people.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow took a long time to arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and of course this isn’t pure Android but then Samsung are not going to offer it as there are not that many people who want it.

Google Play Editions haven’t been offered up for about two years now thanks to not enough people wanting it. Of course when you have pure Android you do have to give up on good support and Sony found this out the hard way.
