Samsung Galaxy S6 Does The Right Thing For Nougat

By  |

The Android Nougat beta program of Samsung is coming to an end and this must surely mean that the official version of Android Nougat is ready to come to the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 was seen on GFXBench running Android 7.0 and we had heard that the handset wouldn’t be getting 7.0 but would be getting 7.1.1.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to get Android 7.1.1 first but then the Samsung Galaxy S6 will take priority once the S7 is out of the way. Samsung have been getting better at offering up support for their devices during the past few months, so the update to Nougat may not be too far away for the older handset.

Android Nougat will bring many improvements to the Samsung Galaxy S6 as it comes with the resolution switch, which should help improve the battery life of the device.
