Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6: Old Timers Not over the Hill

By  |

The lifespan of handsets is generally not that long and two devices that have been out for some time and are now classed as old timers are the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6.

While both these devices are classed as being old now, they are not over the hill yet as they still have a great deal to offer.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are two of the best handsets to have come from Samsung and many people own them. The same can be said about the iPhone 6, 6S and the S6 Plus.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6S are both superb and while the devices are large they are easy to hold.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 handset is along the same as the S5 but with a smaller bezel and larger home button and it offers the fingerprint scanner.

If you want to watch movies the Samsung Galaxy S6 and its 5.1 inch screen with 577pi is great. The iPhone 6 offers a screen that is 4.7 inch and it offers 326ppi.

There is 3GB of RAM on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the processor is the Exynos 7420 64 bit octa-core. The iPhone 6 offers the A8 64 bit dual core processor.

You can get the Samsung Galaxy S6 in 16GB, 64GB or 128GB and the iPhone 6 is available in the same choices. On the downside neither handset offers SD card support.

The 16GB iPhone 6S costs around $540 and the 32GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 comes in at about $550.

So which of these two old timers that still rock would you choose, the iPhone 6 or the Samsung Galaxy S6?
