By  |

The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S3 was pretty powerful when it was first release so it does not come as a surprise that there would still be people using the smartphone right now. If you are one of them and is looking for a way to unlock your device, here is how you can do it.

Thanks to the leaked code, Samsung Galaxy S4 and S3 users will be able to unlock their smartphone on their own.

Strat by sliding in a new SIM Card and restarting the device. Once the device turns back on, open up the dial pad and key in the leaked code, *#197328640# and follow these steps.

[1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.

Wait for 30 seconds and select Back to go back to the main menu where you will see Network Lock. Select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ and your device should be unlocked. The code is also said to work on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note 2 as well so give it a try.

I’m new to hacking this deep- so I have a couple of questionson this unlock code leak: 1. I’m on VZW, I don’t see them just selling me a new SIM & _not_ doing whatever to associate the card w/my S4
    2. What exactly does this unlock- the phone from being tied to VZW, or does it unlock the bootloader, so I can use custom ROMS? or is it something else that is unlocked?
