Samsung Galaxy S4: Getting Too Big For Its Britches?

By  |

There’s been loads of rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S4, which should be the phone to finally oust the S3 given nothing else has been able to so far. Some people are a bit worried about the size of the screen, according to Product-Reviews, as it may be a step too far for a phablet.

Samsung Galaxy S4 rumors point to 5-inch display

It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen might be around 5-inches, which has led to quite a bit of forum and blog chatter – some people have said that they’ll give the S4 a miss if it’s hovering so deep into phablet territory.

There are some indications that it’ll have the Exynos 5250/5450 chip too. These are the same rumors that suggested it would be staying at 4.8”, like the S3, but that it’ll be edge-to-edge. So the question is will there come a point at which it’ll be considered too big to compete for the same buyers as that of its biggest rival the iPhone?

It’s fairly likely that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be unveiled at Mobile World Conference in late February next year, and that it’ll launch in March or April. Will it be bigger? So far there has only been an increase with Galaxy range generations – like the Samsung Galaxy S3 from the S2, and the Note 2 from the Note. So we wouldn’t be surprised if this trend continues.
