Samsung Galaxy S4 Won’t Need You To Cop A Feel To Work

The Sony Xperia Sola brought us the floating touch tech. this was technology which allows the user to hover their finger over the display and click on website pictures or links, without actually touching the display of the device.

Now it looks as though something similar could be making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung is said to be making use of the maXTouch S controller by Atmel which gives mixed signal input to allow gesture based navigation on the interface, without the user having to make contact with the display.

Of course this is causing lot of curiosity in the tech world as to whether Samsung could use this on their displays and what it might be like to use the Samsung Galaxy S4 with this. It could of course come in very useful for times when your finger are greasy and you don’t want to actually touch the display but you have to answer a call or text.

We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy S3 track your eye movements to ensure that the screen stays lit when you’re viewing it, so this does appear to be the next logical step.
