Samsung Galaxy S4: Not Before Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie?

There have been many different rumours surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4. It had been said that the handset might arrive at CES in Las Vegas, however this many not be the case.

The folks over at Product-Reviews reports that some are now saying that Samsung could reveal the Galaxy S4 just after Google announce the next Android update, which is thought be come with the name of Key Lime Pie a.k.a Android 5.0. Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 have complained about the time it is taking to get rollouts for the Jelly Bean update. The device is getting updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 right now. So if Samsung wait for Google to release a new Android OS, this means they would be launching the handset will the very latest operating system on it. Many fans of Android have been tempted by the LG Nexus 4 of course, as it comes with Android 4.2.

There have been many rumours about Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at the same time. Some thought that Google would launch it last month with the LG Nexus 4. However this turned out to be Jelly Bean 4.2. There is no doubt that when Key Lime Pie is revealed, Google will also reveal a Nexus handset with it. However, rumour has it that there may be more than one device with the Nexus name revealed in 2013.

Meanwhile rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S4 include the device having a flexible display of 5 inches and this could be full HD. There may be a camera of 13 megapixel on the back and the handset might have 3GB of RAM.

Samsung have been working on memory chips that have large storage, but which are small in size. It is thought that these could be on the Samsung Galaxy S4. However for the time being we will have to wait and see what Samsung reveal next year.

With the Samsung Galaxy S3 being popular in 2012, it looks as though the Samsung Galaxy S4 has some big shoes to fill in 2013.
