Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.2.2 Update Mocks S3 & Note 2 Users

By  |

Many people have been happy to hear the news that the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update is making its way out to the Samsung Galaxy S4. This however was something that made owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy S3 jealous as they have been waiting to get hold of the update themselves.

Around a week ago we highlighted a Tweet which claimed that some high-end handsets would get the update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 around June. This article got more than 100 comments, many of which were from owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3, who of course wanted to know when they might get hold of the update.

PhonesReview also got some emails along with plenty of feedback over the past week from owners of Android devices, who are also waiting for the update. Their readers left comments such as “Galaxy S4 has been updated today, what about the S3 and Note 2” We put out news about the update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Jelly Bean update just two days ago and said that it brought with it many improvements, including the option to be able to install the apps onto the SD card. This is something that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners have been complaining about for some time now.

Other comments include “Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is thought to see Android 4.2.2 official update by the end of June.” Some owners have even said that they think they know when the update will come. Some said OTA next week, when HTC One will get the release of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 around June 16″. So it does look as though people are frustrated and some could consider rooting their handset to get the update.

Samsung has rolled out updates to high-end handsets in June and we think that people should be patient for a little while longer. However they have made it clear that some people are starting to wonder why it seems to be that some devices are favoured over others. Yet this seems to just add to the frustration. What device do you have and what OS are you on?

Do you have the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and are you fed up of waiting for the update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2?

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
