Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Battery Test A Shocker!

You only need to ask anyone out there which the best device is on the market and they will say either the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Apple iPhone 5. There are a lot of comparisons out there, but here we are focusing on the battery life of the two handsets.

One of the biggest concerns about the Apple iPhone 5 was the battery as iPhones are not well known for large batteries. However the battery of the Apple iPhone 5 at 1430mAh is the largest of any of the iPhones to date, however you still cannot swap it out. The battery of the Samsung Galaxy S3 can be removed and this happens to be 2100mAh.

Apple did say that their battery was the best they had ever put in a phone and they seem to be telling the truth. The Apple iPhone 5 and the 4S had a test for browsing on Wi-Fi and the Apple iPhone 5 with Verizon lasted 7 hours and 13 minutes, the Sprint iPhone 4S went 6 hours and 55 minutes. The Apple iPhone 5 managed to last far longer than the Samsung Galaxy S3, in fact the only handset that could beat it was the Droid Razr Maxx, which was 8 hours and 25 minutes.

This news came after specs sheets put the Samsung Galaxy S3 down as having 15 hours of battery life and the Apple iPhone 5 8 hours. In real world tests both of the two devices came side by side.
